Research & Strategy
In beginning this role, I conducted extensive research and audits on Grace’s existing platform to identify strengths, weaknesses, and other useful information to inform my strategy.
Here are just a few insights I found at that time:
Reels were best for reaching a new audience, whereas carousels and photo posts were best for reaching Grace’s current follower base.
Reels performed best in reach and engagement.
There were no conversions across the board, whether it’s profile visits or actual link clicks.
Grace’s previous social media strategy, AI videos, were doing well in views at first, but quickly fell off.
Technical issues and blurry images (such as the Facebook banner or broken website buttons) are creating friction.
A video paid ad may perform better than a static image.
I identified content pillars for Grace:
New Releases/Product Promotion
Community
World Building and Lore
Hot Men & Sexy Scenes
Then, I created a full monthly content calendar catering to my insights, pillars, and book release schedule. Post date and times are directly tied to when Grace’s followers are most active, and each post has a clear goal according to Grace’s needs as each month progresses.
Finally, I tracked the success of each post in addition to monitoring in-app data in order to maximize my understanding of what does or does not make a post successful.
